The Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles has informed that the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) is organizing the IHGF Delhi Fair â Autumn 2016 from 14-18 October 2016 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, National Capital Region of Delhi. The fair is in the series of biannual Indian Handicraft Gift Fairs (IHGF) organized by EPCH in the country. The IHGF Delhi Fair will provide a single stop sourcing event for the foreign buyers.
2. The handicrafts sector currently engages over 7 million crafts-persons from all over the country. The crafts-persons largely belong to economically and socially disadvantaged segment of the society. Over 10000 exporters/entrepreneurs are engaged for marketing the craft products. For the benefit of the large force engaged with the sector, exploring new markets for the handicrafts is of high priority. The EPCH in coordination with the GOI are constantly taking various developmental and promotional activities including for enhancing marketing of Indian handicrafts in domestic as well as in international market.
