Subject: Continued Suspension of Tourist Visa, Electronic Visa (e-Visa) and Medical Visa
It has been noticed that some Tourist and e-Visa holders are arriving at various airports in USA for their travel to India. Such passengers are not allowed to board their flights causing inconvenience to them.
2. In order to avoid such unpleasant situations to the travellers, it is reiterated that Tourist Visa, e-Visa and Medical Visa issued prior to the lockdown in March, 2020 are still under suspension. Tourist and e-Visas are currently not issued.

The guidelines to apply for permitted categories of visa are also available on our website: https://www.indiainatlanta.gov.in/eoial_pages/MTM, According to these guidelines, residents of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virgin Islands requiring urgent travel to India may send an e-mail to this Consulate at: cons.atlanta@mea.gov.in to initiate the visa process.
